Review: Firstly, it’s worth mentioning that the cleaning professionals who serviced my home were wonderful. They were prompt, cordial, and a pleasure to host at my home. Likewise they cleaned the house in a thorough manner that was a joy to see.My complaints with this business stem primarily from the management and the bait-and-switch tactics they use to extract money from their clients. I initially felt as though the pricing was pretty steep, once tip was involved it was nearly 300 dollars for my relatively small home (and without including two of the bigger rooms), but it became untenable for us when we were scheduled for two cleanings in the month of December, one at the beginning of the month and one four weeks later at the end. For those of you who also budget, I’m sure the delta between 300 dollars and 600 would be perceptible to you.When I initially signed up, I was informed that you have to go through four cleanings to cancel service. I had already paid for three and missed one (you’re charged full-price for a missed cleaning) so I figured I was in the clear. I called to cancel my service and was told that I’d be charged a cancellation fee of 25$, which I happily paid. Imagine my surprise when not only was I charged 75$ (because I was only a once a month subscriber) but I would also be charged a 150$ cancellation fee, because my contract stipulated five cleanings, despite our verbal agreement for four.I also received an overwhelmingly condescending and rude email from the manager Mr Hess, who informed me that if I’d only read the terms and conditions, none of this should be surprising. I highly recommend thoroughly parsing the contract and not being led astray by the information your sales rep may give you. I don’t believe I was deliberately misled, but more I believe their contracting system is designed to be opaque and confusing.Edit: this comment below is not quite true. Happy to post our full correspondence, but I absolutely responded both over the phone and via email.
